How to extract audio from a video
Save a soundtrack as an audio file in a few straightforward steps.
Check that the video has sound
A video container may hold no audio, one audio track or several tracks. This service selects the first audio track. Subtitles, images and the video stream are not included in the download.
Upload and choose an output
Open Video to Audio and select an MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV or WebM file from your device. Choose MP3 for a broadly compatible listening copy, or WAV when you need PCM for editing.
Understand the conversion
The audio is decoded and re-encoded into the chosen format. This is not a promise of a lossless stream copy. If the input is already lossy, exporting to another lossy format introduces another encoding step.
Download before the link expires
Keep the page open while the server processes the file. Save the finished file to your device. Server copies expire under the retention period shown beside the converter. Only upload material you are entitled to process.
