Choose an output that fits
Start with the format required by your player or editor. Auto uses 192 kbps for lossy output. WAV and FLAC use their own lossless encoding rules, so a lossy bitrate choice does not apply.
MP4 and MP3: what changes?
MP4 can hold video and several audio tracks. This tool extracts the first audio track and excludes video, subtitles and attachments. Silent video files cannot produce an audio download.
MP3 uses lossy compression and offers broad playback compatibility. 192 kbps is a useful starting point for music; a higher bitrate makes a larger file but cannot restore detail already lost in the source.
How to use MP4 to MP3
- Choose files from your device. Check the file and duration limits shown above.
- Set your output and any editing options. Keep the original file if you may need it again.
- Select Convert Audio, wait for processing, then download your result before it expires.
